SpeakingLab Urfa
SpeakingLab Urfa is an English school in Şanlıurfa, Turkey. The Community Garden sponsors scholarships so underprivileged children can study English, build confidence, and reach the opportunities that a second language opens up.
The Community Garden pays tuition for underprivileged children who could not otherwise afford it, so a family's income does not decide whether a child gets to learn English.
In this region, English opens doors to tourism work, university, scholarships, and international opportunity. For many kids it is one of the clearest paths to a wider future.
SpeakingLab sits alongside the foundation's other Şanlıurfa work — Taş Tepeler archives, Soğmatar village education, and long-standing local relationships.
Full transparency
What SpeakingLab is, and what the foundation does.
SpeakingLab Urfa is a for-profit English school owned and run by members of the Community Garden team — Ramazan Aygat, the foundation's Turkey director, and Ahmet Yavuzel. It is a business, not a nonprofit. The foundation does not fund the business itself — it sponsors specific children's tuition so they can attend, and we help when we can. We keep the two roles plain and separate: the school earns its own way as a business, and the foundation's money goes only to named scholarships for kids who need them.
